Football

Football at Hedrick is for 7th and 8th grade only.

Registration for football opens June 1, 2026.  

Cost to participate is $75.  Fees must be paid before first game.  All athletes must register online and be cleared by the Hedrick athletic department before participating in any way. 

Practices will begin August 17th and will run from 8/17-8/28 Monday thru Friday from 3:45 pm - 5:15 pm.  Students will need to go to doors near gates by the track at Lower Jackson.  Please see football schedule below for more info.
THERE IS NO PRACTICE ON AUGUST 18TH DUE TO HEDRICK ORIENTATION DAY
 

During school, football practice is every day from 3:45-5:15/5:30 pm.   Practices are closed to the public.  Athletes will go to the locker room to dress and then meet on the football field.  Please wear shorts, a t-shirt, and cleats on the first day.  Team announcements will follow and be released as soon as possible.   

There is no practice on days when there is no school, or on game days.  Practice times and locations may be adjusted due to heat or smoke.

Message from our Athletic Director:

It is always our goal to keep student-athletes participating in their sport. We do, however, want to remind athletes and parents of a few policies pertaining to athletic participation. Please keep the following in mind. 

  • Athletes must be enrolled in 5 or more classes.
  • Athletes must attend school all day on game days(unless cleared by the athletic director in advance).
  • Athletes must also attend practice the day before any game.  
  • Athletes must maintain passing grades for all classes to participate (No grades of D or F).
