Boys Basketball

Info:

Tryouts for basketball will be announced fall 2025.  Tryouts are closed to the public.  Athletes will go to locker room to dress and then meet in the gym.  Please wear shorts, a t-shirt, and gym shoes on the first day.  Team announcements will follow and be released as soon as possible.  All athletes must register online and be cleared by the Hedrick athletic department before participating in any way.

Hedrick provides uniforms, except for shoes.  Parents are responsible for shoes. 

Practices are:  

• 7th Grade Gold & Silver:  3:45 pm to 5:15 pm every day, except game days.  
• 8th Grade Gold:  3:45 pm to 5:15 pm every day, except game days.  
• 8th Grade Silver:  7:00 am to 8:00 am every day.  Athletes need to be ready to practice at 7.  Locker room is open at 6:45 am.  

 

Message from our Athletic Director:  

It is always our goal to keep student athletes participating in their sport. We do however want to remind athletes and parents of a few policies pertaining to athletic participation. Please keep the following in mind. 

• Athletes must be enrolled in 5 or more classes.
• Athletes must attend school all day on game days (unless cleared by the athletic director in advance).
• Athletes must also attend practice the day before any game.  
• Athletes must maintain passing grades for all classes to participate (No grades of D or F).
