Girls Basketball

Girls' Basketball at Hedrick is for 7th & 8th grade only. Basketball is a cut sport, so teams are announced after tryouts.

Registration for basketball opens on June 1st.

Cost to participate is $50.  Fees must be paid before the first game.  All athletes must register online and be cleared by the Hedrick athletic department before participating in any way.

Girls' Basketball begins mid-December.  Updates will be provided as more info is received.

Basketball practice schedule is below.  Practices are closed to the public.  Athletes will go to the locker room to dress and then meet in the gym.  Please wear shorts, a t-shirt, and gym shoes.

There is no practice on days when there is no school, or on game days.

 *Gold Teams:  3:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. 

 *Silver Teams:  6:45 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. (No practice on Wednesdays)

Message from our Athletic Director:

It is always our goal to keep student-athletes participating in their sport. We do, however, want to remind athletes and parents of a few policies pertaining to athletic participation. Please keep the following in mind. 

  • Athletes must be enrolled in 5 or more classes.
  • Athletes must attend school all day on game days (unless cleared by the athletic director in advance).
  • Athletes must also attend practice the day before any game.  
  • Athletes must maintain passing grades for all classes to participate (No grades of D or F).
