Girls Basketball
Girls' Basketball at Hedrick is for 7th & 8th grade only.
For 2025, we will be opening up tryouts to 6th grade. Tryouts will be December 15th-19th from 3:45-5:15. December 15-16 will be 8th grade only, December 17-18 will be 6th & 7th grades. December 19 will be an invite only first day of practice. Coaches will let athletes know if they need to come for this practice. Athletes will go to locker room to dress and then meet in the gym. Please wear shorts, a t-shirt, and gym shoes on the first day. Team announcements will follow and be released as soon as possible. All athletes must register online and be cleared by the Hedrick athletic department before participating in any way.
Team practices will begin on January 5, 2026
There will be a parent meeting on January 6th at 5:15 pm after practice.
Hedrick provides uniforms, except for shoes. Parents are responsible for shoes.
Cost to participate is $50. Fees must be paid before the first game.
Practice Times (Will be finalized later):
There is no practice on Game Days or days when there is no school
- Silver & Gold Team: 3:45 pm to 5:15 pm every day, except game days.
- Gold or Silver Team: 3:45 pm to 5:15 pm every day, except game days.
- Gold or Silver Team: 6:30 am - 8 am every day.

Message from our Athletic Director:
It is always our goal to keep student athletes participating in their sport. We do however want to remind athletes and parents of a few policies pertaining to athletic participation. Please keep the following in mind.
- Athletes must be enrolled in 5 or more classes.
- Athletes must attend school all day on game days (unless cleared by the athletic director in advance).
- Athletes must also attend practice the day before any game.
- Athletes must maintain passing grades for all classes to participate (No grades of D or F).
